Traditional (Hellenistic)
Aries is Venus's detriment, opposite her Libra house, in Mars's cardinal fire. The older authors say a planet in detriment works far from home, here the gentle star of harmony expressing through pursuit, heat, and the thrill of the chase. This is a redirection, not a defect: love made direct and brave. The gift is ardor and honesty in attraction; the cost is a wanting that cools once it is won.
