South Node in Aries
With the South Node in Aries (and the North Node in Libra), your innate, almost effortless gift is courage, raw self-assertion, and the will to act alone. But it is also the worn groove you fall into: charging ahead solo, fighting battles no one asked you to fight, treating every relationship as a contest to win. Under stress you reach for the lone-warrior reflex and call it strength. The work is not to lose your courage but to stop camping in it, releasing the habit of going it alone and leaning instead toward partnership, patience, and genuinely letting another person matter.
Lean in — Keep your courage but spend it on a shared road, not a solo conquest.
Watch for — Pick a fight or charge off alone when cooperation is what is actually asked.

- Forrest, The Inner Sky (1984)Forrest reads the South Node as the over-developed, comfort-zone pole of the nodal axis; in Aries it marks the innate gift and the worn pattern to release, with growth toward the North Node in Libra.
- Greene, The Astrology of Fate (1984)Greene treats the South Node as inherited, effortless capacity that becomes a regressive rut under stress; here in Aries it is the past one must consciously release rather than camp in.
- Rudhyar, The Astrology of Personality (1936)Rudhyar frames the nodal axis as the soul's line of growth; the South Node in Aries is the line of least resistance, the familiar function to be carried forward but not clung to.
