Libra is Mars's detriment, opposite his Aries house, in Venus's cardinal air. The older authors say a planet in detriment works far from home, here the blunt malefic forced to act through negotiation, balance, and the needs of a partner. This is a redirection, not a defect: force that must justify itself as fair. The gift is strategic, principled action and the will to fight for justice; the cost is an indecision that stalls when a direct push is needed.
Lean in — Assert the need directly instead of waiting to be treated fairly.
