Aspects
Jupiter Opposition Venus
Modern
You tend to meet your own warmth and abundance through other people: you give lavishly to be loved, indulge a partner, or look to relationships for the plenty you have not claimed in yourself. Balanced, it makes you generous, warm, and devoted. The work is finding the abundance within and giving from fullness, not for approval. At your best you create relationships full of genuine warmth and shared good fortune.
Traditional (Hellenistic)
A hundred-and-eighty-degree aspect sets the two in mutual tension. Between Venus and Jupiter it externalizes the warmth: generosity given to be loved, pleasure and plenty sought through partners, a swing between giving too much and wanting more. Ptolemy counts the opposition among the hard configurations, though here the two benefics soften it greatly. The gift is a generous, relationship-loving warmth; the cost is over-giving, extravagance to be liked, and seeking in others the abundance one could find within.
Lean in — Give from your own fullness, not to win approval.
Watch for — Lavish gifts to be liked or to feel abundant.
