Mars in the 6th House
Modern
This is Mars in his element: you have enormous capacity for hard work, you thrive on a challenge in your daily tasks, and you get things done that would wear others out. The shadow is overwork, burnout, and friction with coworkers, or stress landing in the body. The growth is pacing the fire and tending your health. At your best you are the tireless, capable engine that carries the whole operation.
Traditional (Hellenistic)
The sixth is the cadent place the tradition calls Bad Fortune, and it is the joy of Mars: the malefic delights here among work, service, health, and the daily contest. Energy is channeled into labor and getting things done. Brennan notes the sixth as Mars's own joy. The gift is tremendous capacity for hard, sustained, skilled work; the cost is overwork, burnout, and strife with subordinates or in the body.
Lean in — Pour the fire into the work, and guard your health.
Watch for — Run the engine to burnout and call it dedication.
