Aspects
Mars Conjunction Sun
Modern
Action is wired into who you are: you assert, you compete, you move, and you feel most yourself when you are pushing forward. That makes you brave and decisive and, on a bad day, combustible. The work of a lifetime is the pause between the impulse and the act. At your best you are pure courageous momentum that pulls everyone forward.
Traditional (Hellenistic)
When the Sun and Mars occupy the same degree, the day-star takes on the nature of the hot, dry malefic: a person whose very identity is bound up with action, courage, and force. The older authors warn that Mars too close to the Sun can be burned (combust), its energy made rash. The gift is formidable drive and a fighting spirit at the core of the self; the cost is a temper and a haste that the will does not pause to check.
Lean in — Build in the pause between the impulse and the act.
Watch for — Let the temper spend energy you needed for the goal.
