Sun in the 6th House
Modern
Your sense of self runs through what you do day to day: the work, the craft, the care of your health and your routines. You feel most yourself when you are competent and of real use. The work is keeping your worth bigger than your productivity, and tending your own health as well as the task. At your best you are the dependable, skilled engine that keeps everything running.
Traditional (Hellenistic)
The sixth is the cadent place the tradition calls Bad Fortune, the joy of Mars, governing work, service, health, and subordinates. The Sun here centers identity on craft, duty, and being of use, vitality found in the doing. This is a harder, less prominent place by tradition, but it is where competence is forged. The gift is a tireless, useful vitality; the cost is a self that overworks and ties its worth to the task.
Lean in — Take pride in the work, and rest as part of it.
Watch for — Let your whole worth ride on how much you produce.
