The wound around devotion tends to come at you through other people and the things you serve together. You may draw in those who need healing around focus, sexuality, or the sacred, step into the role of the devoted helper, or find that a shared cause re-opens the old ache of dedication that cost you. There can be a back-and-forth of who sacrifices and who is healed. The work is to keep the wound from running it: notice when you over-give your focus to soothe your own hurt, let others tend you too, and bring the service into balance, so the work heals both of you rather than restaging the original cost.
