Praesepe

Praesepe

Praesepe, the Beehive cluster near 7 degrees of Leo, is a nebulous swarm of faint stars. Robson gives it a malefic cast tied to blindness, crowds, fevers, and recklessness, but also to industry and the activity of many small things working unseen. Brady reads it as the hive mind, the swarm, immersion in the collective. Worked with consciousness it is industrious and connected; unconscious it can scatter into the mass and lose the eyes' clear focus.
