Alkaid

Alkaid

Alkaid (Benetnash), the tip of the Great Bear's tail, is of the nature of the Moon and Mars and counted among the mourning stars. It marks an acquaintance with loss, crisis, and endings, and the strength to confront death and catastrophe directly. Faced consciously, it gives the power to stand in hard places others avoid; unconscious, it can pull toward grief and destruction.
