Alcyone
Alcyone, the brightest of the Pleiades near 0 degrees of Gemini, is the chief of the weeping sisters. Robson links it to ambition, honor, and far sight, but also to sorrow, judgment trouble, and difficulties with the eyes. Brady reads the Pleiades as a place of grief that opens vision, where loss sharpens the sight of something larger. The traditional caution is real, yet the gift is a piercing, somewhat mournful clarity.
