The lot of courage is one of the seven Hermetic lots, calculated by day as Ascendant + Mars - Fortune (and reversed for a nocturnal chart). It is built from Mars and the Lot of Fortune, marking boldness and audacity, the place of courage, force, and the daring deeds one is capable of. As a derived point, the lot is read by the sign it falls in, the condition and placement of its ruler, and the planets that aspect it; its house shows where in life its matters play out.
