Translation of Light

Modern

Translation of light makes a function the relay between two forces that do not directly meet: a faster body carries the light from one to the other. As a life theme, this is the gift of the broker, the connector, the person who carries a message or introduction that brings two parties together who could not bridge the gap alone. The gift is real facilitation, being the one who makes the link. The shadow is being only ever the middleman, never connected in your own right. The work is brokering well while keeping your own place. At your best you make connections happen that change things.

Traditional (Hellenistic)

Translation of light is a horary and natal figure in which a faster planet, separating from one slower planet and applying to another, carries the light between two bodies that do not themselves aspect. The swift planet relays the influence of the first to the second, brokering a connection that would not otherwise form. In the tradition this is how a matter is brought about by a go-between: the translator carries the light from one significator to the other. The figure marks connection made through an intermediary.
