Collection of Light
Modern
Collection of light makes a function the gathering point for two forces that do not directly meet: a heavier body receives the light of both and unites them. As a life theme, this is the gift of the hub, the one of enough weight or standing that others come to and through, the figure who brings parties together by being the center they both connect to. The gift is the power to unite and convene. The shadow is becoming the bottleneck everything must route through. The work is gathering others without needing to control the meeting. At your best you are the trusted center that brings people and matters together.
Traditional (Hellenistic)
Collection of light is a horary and natal figure in which a slower, heavier planet receives the light of two faster planets that do not aspect each other: both apply to the collector, which gathers them. In the tradition the matter is brought about through this third party, the collector uniting two significators that could not meet directly, often a person of greater weight or authority who draws the others together. The figure marks union achieved through a gathering third.
