Cazimi

Modern

Cazimi (from the Arabic for being in the heart) is a planet sitting within about sixteen arcminutes of the Sun's exact degree. Where a planet merely close to the Sun is combust and weakened, one in the very heart is the rare exception: fused with the solar light, it is empowered, clarified, and elevated, its function infused with conscious purpose. A tight and uncommon condition, cazimi marks a planet of unusual strength and focus. Read it as a function lit up from within rather than overwhelmed.

Traditional (Hellenistic)

Cazimi, from the Arabic for being in the heart, is a planet within roughly sixteen or seventeen arcminutes of the exact degree of the Sun, seated in its very heart. Although this lies within the range that would otherwise burn a planet, the heart itself is a place of honor rather than harm: the planet is greatly strengthened and dignified, like a counselor admitted to the king's own throne. Lilly counted cazimi a major dignity, equal in strength to a planet in its own sign. Read a cazimi planet as powerfully elevated and protected.
