Full Moon

Full Moon in Aries

A Full Moon in Aries is when the Moon in Aries opposes the Sun in Libra, bringing the tension between your own needs and your relationships to a head.

Modern

The Full Moon is the bright, culminating point of the cycle, when something that has been building comes to light. In Aries, opposite the Sun in Libra, it lights up the balance between standing up for yourself and keeping the peace with others. Feelings about your independence, your anger, or a need you have been swallowing tend to surface now and ask to be honored. It is a strong time to release what you have outgrown and to be honest about what you want, as long as you can do it without burning a bridge you will miss.

Traditional (Hellenistic)

The When two planets sit directly across the zodiac from each other, about 180 degrees apart. It creates tension, awareness, and a pull between two sides that need balancing. of the lights, the Moon in Aries against the Sun in Libra, was read as a moment of fullness and visibility. The Mars-ruled Moon set against the Venus-ruled Sun marks the old tension between self and other coming to its peak, a time of culmination and, often, of release.
